Service Spotlight: Natural Environment Teaching (NET)

The Infinity Center incorporates Natural Environment Teaching (NET) as part of our approach to ABA therapy.  NET provides learning opportunities in the child’s natural environment that incorporate their specific interests and motivations - where lessons are used to teach skills such as language, play, and social interactions. NET helps to increase generalization of skills into new environments, meaning a child learns a new skill as well as how to apply it in different contexts to their everyday life. NET also functions to keep a child active and engaged during therapy. At the Infinity Center, we have multiple NET areas to ensure that we are able to find just the right activity to motivate our learners - and we go to infinity and beyond to make our activities fun, interactive, and full of movement and language!  Learn more about NET here.

Staff Spotlight: Meet Kacey Love!

Kacey is the Billing Coordinator for the Infinity Center, and is responsible for obtaining billing authorization for all of the services provided to families. As the first person most families meet when they begin their journey with ICBS, she enjoys the opportunity to set a welcoming and supportive tone. Though many people would dread dealing with insurance issues, Kacey loves being able to advocate for families. She is quick to add that billing is “just a small part of what I do because I truly am a part of everything, which is what I love about my job!”

Kacey is the proud mom to a 5 year-old daughter and 1 year-old son. After being a stay-at-home mom for a few years, she started working in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) field. “I decided that I wanted to show my daughter that anyone can truly do it all and be a superhero. I just fell in love with ABA and working with families and knew this was the field for me.”

In her spare time Kacey loves going to arcades, crafting, watching Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Pixar, and especially all things Marvel - a love shared by her husband and children. On her favorite part about working at ICBS, she says, "I love being able to use my experiences and knowledge in the ABA industry to help families be able to afford and receive the help that their child needs.”
